Osomatsu takes its name from “Osomatsu-sama deshita!” — an expression hosts use to accept thanks for a meal with humility. The same “pleased to serve” spirit guides our kitchen, where inventive Japanese cuisine is plated with care.
Menus are available for lunch and dinner service, daily from 12:00pm to 2:30pm and 5:30pm to 9:30pm.

Osomatsu Japanese Kitchen & Bar draws its name from the Japanese expression "Osomatsu-sama deshita!" — a phrase a host or hostess offers humbly in reply to a guest's thanks for the meal. The name captures the spirit of the room: sincere, heartfelt cooking served with quiet gratitude, where the kitchen's inventive Japanese cuisine is meant to leave diners feeling genuinely content rather than merely satisfied.
Dining here comes in four ways, each with its own character. Lively izakaya service opens the door with small plates built for sharing, grilled skewers and vegetables, and familiar Japanese favourites placed in the centre of the table for passing around. It is the warmest, most sociable of the four, suited to long evenings with company and a drink in hand.
For something more composed, the omakase menu presents a sequenced tasting experience of sashimi and seasonal Japanese ingredients, prepared to order. Courses arrive in careful order, moving from pristine slices of fish toward the chef's selection of premium seafood, allowing the kitchen to guide the pacing and the palate rather than the diner.
An all-day set menu keeps the experience approachable from morning through evening, while a selection of sake provides a natural accompaniment for any of the above. The beverage programme is considered alongside the food rather than apart from it, and pairings are offered to suit the mood of each service, from relaxed izakaya sharing to focused omakase tasting.
The design of the space mirrors the philosophy behind the name: deep maroon tones paired with crisp white lettering and neutral, light backgrounds, generous spacing, and an editorial serif voice that feels classic and formal. Full-bleed imagery of the kitchen and its dishes anchors the page, while hairline rules and wide letter-spaced headlines give the composition a symmetrical, unhurried cadence befitting a restaurant built around attentiveness and heart.
Reserve a table for lunch, dinner, an omakase experience or drinks at the sake bar.
